This past week we (Me, my husband and my sister) are playing name the new Gluth baby. I've suggested that Kira would be good. It goes nicely with her sister's name and it is easy to spell - not a lot of variations or confusing ways to pronounce or spell. This has lead to a long (via email) conversation about names.
On Thursday while home with Berry Princess, she had the following thought process on the letter "E."
"My name should have an e at the end of it. It sounds like it should."
Pause.
"Wait, your name should have one too!"
Pause.
"And Early Bird! His name should have an e at the end of it, too!"
Pause.
"But not Daddy, his name doesn't have an e at the end of it."
Ahh the fun of the English language!

I do have to disagree with you on the spelling of Kira, though. (Love the name, but...) Traditional Irish spelling is Ciara (same pronunciation). Standard English spelling is Keira. Kyra is a new variation. :-) However, not too many ways to mispronounce it when it is spelled Kira... except maybe with a long I.
Do we know if they are having a girl?
