Swimming lessons
We have been taking swimming lessons this summer - okay, not us, but the kids have been. They have had wonderful teachers and have had such a good time. The babies went on Monday nights with a parent and the preschoolers went on Wednesday night with a parent. It was challenging to schedule our lives around these lessons. And the weather wasn't particularly cooperative - neither was the leaky pool! So we had 2 weeks of extra lessons. The last lesson was all together, and it was the most fun! Peggy's family brought along a slide so the kids could slide into the water. It was excellent motivation for those of us - particularly my kiddos - who didn't want to get their faces wet! They had to, because Mommy didn't catch them until after they were under the water! Our Princess was all over this slide thing. We had about 15 minutes of time to use it, and I think she went down about 30 times! Now that lessons are over, I wonder what we'll do with our Mon and Wed evenings?! A special thank you to Thomas and Anna's Grandma for taking picts of our lessons!

Adorable! I'm impressed that your kids would go down the slide - Christian HATED the slide when he didn't know how to put his face in the water.
The slide was motivation for her to keep putting her head under water. She was nearly smiling when she came up.
Earlier in the session we had the slide there, and EB did the same thing. This time he was perfectly happy riding the noodle like a horse so he could blow water out of it.
