Last weekend our little Berry Princess showed us just what a Princess she wants to be. Nana and Papa and Great Aunt Adewwa were here for Applefest. During the parade they taught the Princess how to wave at the Princesses on the floats! She hated the first part (you know the part with every police car, fire truck and ambulance from the tristate area that needs to show off how much noise they can make) and kept pointing in the direction of the van and saying "Ome. Ome." Unfortunately I forgot my camera!
Once we got through that it was pretty smooth sailing. Our Princess waved at all of the Princesses and climbed on my lap for the bands. It was a gorgeous day. We came home with a bag full of various flavors of tootsie roll and an apple. We were even attacked by the St. Paul Winter carnival Vulcans! Some of it survived until we got to the camera at home!
The boys decided to run the 5K this year. It was a very nice day for a run - even though it was all up hill!

No, he didn't run the whole thing. He even got his first side ache.
He did beat his dad by a fraction of a second!
