Berry Princess: How many thumb you have?
Me: I don't know. Let's count.
BP: 1. 2. 3. 4. Mommy, what's that?
Me: That is a ring Daddy gave be. (You figured out that we started with the thumb and counted until we got to the ring finger. Right?)
BP: Why?
Me: B/c Daddy loves Mommy.
BP (tears welled up): Mommy, you best friend my. (And gave a big hug!)
I wonder what Freud would say about this?
