Loggers Game
The rain held out for a muggy softball game between the LCHS staff and the Loggers. The bank had volunteered to pay for special tshirts for anyone who wanted to buy them. When about 500 shirts were "sold," they weren't really prepared to pay the $4000 bill. Instead they gave a check for $1000. Once all the cash was counted the event raised about $5,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Not bad! The local news station came and did a story about the game.

Who paid for the other 400 T-shirts? That wasn't particularly nice of the bank... :-(
Sorry about all your rain. It must have everyone on edge a bit, after last summer's flooding.

Each person who got a t-shirt paid for it. We thought that all of the money would go to the CFF, but it didn't.
It also wasn't really fair to pitch to the bank that we'd like a $800 donation and then say the bill was $4ooo! They are a generous bank and already gave $1000 to the fire families this year.
