We had an absolutely fabulous day with Brother and Bro's wife. They camped nearby with some motor cycle men. Saturday afternoon we went on the Root River bike trail from Rushford to Peterson, ate a picnic lunch and then went back again. We got a trail-a-bike for our Early Bird to ride behind Hubby. They had tried it out on Friday and Early Bird was a bit wobbly. I thought for sure we'd get about 2 miles in and he'd want to stop and ride in the Burley with his sister. OHHHH was I wrong! He was all about the race! We had Brother pull the Burley to slow him down a bit. He was a good uncle to his little rider. She however really needed a nap and it doesn't sleep well for her. She was a good sport though - sleeping 2 minutes after we left the parking lot in the van. It was a nice workout on a day when the weather was absolutely perfect. And the trails were flat and not too busy. I don't think I can say much more about it, but it was great!
After the bike ride and some naps (nearly all of us slept for a minute or two), we went to the campsite that was right next to the biker guys. We had hotdogs and the campfire necessity of smores. Then the bikers came in . . . Boy did my Berry Princess love the motorbikes; she couldn't take her eyes off of them. We went over and took a closer look. One of the guys said, "Sure she can touch it. Next thing you'll now she'll be sitting on it and then riding it and then flashing." It is a good thing we took some pictures, she just got as close to a motorcycle as she ever will.
It was a good day Early Bird was so tired he wet his pants at an even earlier 5:30 AM. Guess we'll be early to bed tonight. The video says what none of us were thinking.
